Crawlstal is a long, worm-like denizen with a broadened head that tapers off into two wide forks. In the middle of its head are two small, black eyes. It has broad, flat spines running down its back in two lines that merge at the tip of its tail.

As a post-metamorphosis denizen, Crawlstal does not spawn. Instead, it will metamorphosize from Sharden when under the correct conditions. Crawlstal is the final stage of its metamorphic line.

Crawlstal's ability to climb up vertical surfaces means very few places in Quartzworld are inaccessible to them. They are found in numerous areas throughout the zone, though rarely in water.

With longer, sleeker bodies, Crawlstal's movements become elegant. With the ability to move efficiently, they explore deep chasms and obscure caverns. Even in the most distant and hard-to-reach spot, a Crawlstal may be found.
