Spoolish is a small denizen comprised of orange, red, and purple yarn with part of a narrow reel sticking out of the top of its head. Its body is blobby and fairly shapeless with two arm-like appendages in front and trails of loose yarn in back. Its eyes and mouth are comprised of hollow impressions in the yarn.

Spoolish spawns anywhere in Patchwarp. Spoolish will metamorphosize into Spindleer under the correct conditions. Its metamorphosis can be recognized by the lengthening and expansion of its body as it gains a more defined shape. Its mouth also disappears and its eyes grow wider, with oblong wooden beads appearing for pupils.

Spoolish are widespread throughout Patchwarp. They are found on both the outer quilt and within the interior cavities. The preference for where a Spoolish spends its time seems to be determined mostly by the individual, with no species-wide preferences being observed one way or another.

Spoolish have been observed incorporating pieces of natural yarn from the zone into their bodies. It is thought this act may help prepare them for metamorphosis.
