Ampersandra is an inky black denizen with a two-dimensional appearance. Its narrow body is twisted with a loop in between the head and the tail. Its head is flat and featureless. It has a bipedal body plan.

Ampersandra spawns in all the currently known area types in Pagebound. Ampersandra will metamorphosize into Ampersandrake under the correct conditions. Its metamorphosis can be recognized by increases in the size and length of its body, as well as the separation of its legs into a quadrupedal body plan.

Ampersandra are common in all environments throughout Pagebound. They are not particularly migratory, but are able to travel small distances at a time by hopping.

Ampersandra are very steady on their feet and nearly impossible to topple despite their bodies being both incredibly thin and perfectly flat. They tend to be inquisitive and seek out and engage with new stimulus when they become aware of it.
