Denizens of the Zones

Denizens are naturally occurring creatures who reside in the zones. They do not reproduce, instead they spontaneously appear or "spawn" in the zone based on unknown criteria. Denizens are intelligent and are considered sapient, but many function quite differently from humans in how they interact with other living beings and choose to spend their time. Denizens are functionally immortal and can only die if significant portions of their bodies are physically destroyed. Denizens are unable to leave their home zones. If they attempt to, they will turn into small charms.
